Things Change....
Hi guys, Sam here. I guess you might have noticed we haven't posted in a while. We have had a pretty tough fall. Susie has left us. She wouldn't play or have any interest in anything and I knew something was wrong. Our humans kept taking her back and forth to the Vet man. One day she wouldn't get up anymore. My humans fed her really tasty things like baby food and would carry her up and down stairs and to go outside. But one day, she went to see the Vet man and she didn't come home.
I kept looking for her, poking under the blankie, in the bed, looking at the door. I became really sad and didn't want to do anything. I didn't understand, but my humans finally explained it to me. She wasn't coming back and there was nothing we could do. I was devastated.
Then one day, in came Sally. Sally has had a hard short life. She already had puppies and is only 1 1/2 years old! And, she is also a basset hound and looks like me... only smaller! Thanks to Basset Buddies Rescue in Wisconsin, my humans found Sally for us and she is a really great little sister. She is good therapy for me. She makes me play again and whispers in my ear. She lets me steal her toys and then steals them back. I am in love again.
Today, we had a lot of snow. Sally body slammed me... I outweigh her by 20 pounds and pushed back. She went end over end and was covered with snow. Then we came inside and played with all of our stuffed toys and chased Bob the cat. Life is good again.
Susie we miss you
Here is my new little friend
